Mission

To honor God, SVCA will serve families of the Silver Valley by training and educating children through the study of His world, His will, His ways, and His Word.

Vision

To allow God to do whatever it takes to provide the means for the SVCA to make Christian education available for all families who desire it for their children.

Statement of Faith

The basic truths of Scripture never change.

We are an interdenominational school, and as such, will not take a stand on issues inconsequential to the essential doctrines of salvation. SVCA is a Bible-based and growing school. We mature in our faith as we expand our understanding of the Bible. The basic truths of Scripture never change. Times do change, and we are responsible for understanding what the Lord is saying to us in Scripture so that we can effectively teach our students in the midst of the problems and changes in our community.

It is the particular purpose of this school to encourage its students to develop Christian minds. The Lord is with us. We count on His presence in our endeavour to embrace a Christian approach to education and to  life. The promises of the Bible remain true. If, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, we put the Scriptures into our hearts and minds, we surely shall find that the path will become much clearer to us. “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105 “Be not fashioned according to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:11

SVCA is working to mature students to follow Jesus in personal relationship. The school encourages this commitment through Biblical studies as well as academic activities enlightened by the Scriptures. Students also learn the possibilities of service to each other as they learn to work in a classroom and to contribute to each other’s growth.

Commitment to follow Jesus through a personal relationship.

The school encourages commitment through Biblical studies as well as other academic activities enlightened by the Scriptures. The content of our curriculum dictates the way in which the school seeks to promote discipleship. The school is especially concerned that each student experience a logical exploration of the various aspects of God’s creation and recognize His presence in a mature and joyous way.

Christian Americanism

We place emphasis upon the greatness of America’s heritage and the sacrifices of her heroes. America’s Constitution guarantees liberties to educate in order to preserve freedom. We unashamedly teach the Biblical doctrines of self-discipline, respect for those in authority, obedience to the law, and love for God, flag, and country.

Academics

Including the basics of reading, writing, arithmetic, and the natural sciences. In addition, Bible, history, technology, music, art, physical education, and service activities enrich our attention to the complete child: Spiritual, intellectual, and physical.
